Capstone Design Conference to showcase student innovation and creativity

MIDDLETOWN, Pa. – Penn State Harrisburg’s School of Science, Engineering and Technology will hold its annual Capstone Design Conference from 12:30 to 6 p.m. on Friday, April 26, on campus.

Each year, Penn State Harrisburg's School of Science, Engineering and Technology students culminate their undergraduate studies with a Capstone Design Project. The senior projects for the Penn State Harrisburg engineering students are a long-standing tradition, where they are given an opportunity to combine classroom learning with real-life applications, as well as collaborate with industry sponsors. 

Carlos J. Lugo, national director of service for North America Refrigeration Technologies at GEA Refrigeration North America, Inc. will serve as the conference's keynote speaker.

Demonstrations of projects will take place from 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. in the Educational Activities Building. The keynote address and awards ceremony will be held from 4:45 to 6 p.m. in the Mukund S. Kulkarni Theatre.
