The Student Physicians for Social Responsibility-Penn State Hershey Chapter hope you will be able to join us at this symposium to learn about the medical perspective of the health impacts of the unconventional natural gas (fracking) industry. This symposium features the research of Yale's Dr. Nicole Deziel on the carcinogenic nature of the chemicals used in the fracking industry, Johns Hopkins' Dr. Brian Schwartz on the epidemiological data on asthma and fracking drill sites and PSR's own, Dr. Pouné Sabieri's research on methane gas from the fracking industry and its impact on human health, especially as it relates to global climate disruption. Lunch will be served.

Endorsed by Philadelphia, New York, and Harrisburg Divisions of Physicians for Social Responsibility, Environmental Health Project of Pennsylvania, Healthcare Professionals for a Livable Future, and the Dauphin County Medical Society
